Dr. Levinger started out in 1999 as the Dr. Levinger Eyes chain of medical centers, Israel’s leading chain for laser vision correction surgeries – and it is now Israel’s largest, leading chain in the area of eye health and vision improvement, under the management of Dr. Shmuel Levinger.
Dr. Shmuel Levinger is a world renowned ophthalmologist and corneal specialist, and a groundbreaking surgeon in the area of vision improvement and eye health.To meet an ever-increasing need, and to continue providing the best and most advanced treatment in the field, Dr. Levinger recruited the most talented and experienced specialist physicians in Israel, and acquired the world’s best and most advanced technologies.
As knowledge and professional experience accumulated over the years in the field of ophthalmology expanded, the most natural and logical move was to develop the chain into additional areas of private medicine, and to apply the highest standards in Israel.

The Dr. Levinger Group’s

The Dr. Levinger Eyes Azrieli Medical Center in Tel Aviv and the Dr. Levinger Eyes Haifa Medical Center, specializing in laser vision correction surgery and vision improvment, were stablished in 2001 – and the Sheva Enaim multidisciplinary surgical medical center was established in Be’er Sheva in 2008.

In the years 2006-2008 we established the Dr. Levinger Eyes Optics chain of optics stores, as a complementary service for the medical centers’ patients;
In 2010 we acquired the multi-disciplinary medical center Atidim Medical Center, Ramat HaHayal, Tel Aviv;
In 2019-2020, Danel acquired 61% of the company’s shares;
In 2020 we reinforced our northern arm by acquiring the largest and most advanced medical center in the north for eye surgery, Maayan, Haifa.

Dr. Levinger Eyes, Israel’s leading chain in laser vision correction and vision improvement, was the driving force behind the establishment of the Dr. Levinger medical centers.
Over the course of twenty five years, due to our aspiration to provide our customers with the best in ophthalmology, the diagnosis and eye surgery array at Dr. Levinger gradually broadened.
These days, Dr. Levinger Eyes operates in a broad scope of activities. We treat a wide variety of eye and corneal diseases, including: cataract, keratoconus, glaucoma, strabismus, retinal diseases and more, alongside oculoplastic surgery (”eyelid lift”).

Dr. Shmuel Levinger
Dr. Shmuel Levinger, founder and medical administrator of the Dr. Levinger Eyes chain, is a graduate of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem’s school of medicine.
He completed his residency in the Ophthalmology Department at Hadassah Hospital, Jerusalem.
He managed the ophthalmology unit at Hadassah Mount Scopus hospital and Hadassah Hospital’s Ophthalmology Laser Institute.
Dr. Levinger serves as a licensed instructor in Israel for certifying physicians to perform refractive surgery (laser vision correction surgery).
He is the first to implement the world’s most advanced surgical methods using the most innovative medical devices and technologies.
